Health & Safety

Grampian Soil Surveys  is fully commited to Health annd Safety and are members of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA), membership no. M41200941. All engineers and drilling staff are trained in first aid. All team leaders (Engineer) are trained to carry out risk assessments and prepare Method Statements in accordance with all current Health and Safety and CDM regulations.

Equipment Maintenance and Safety Check

Our own mechanic maintains all drilling rigs, equipment, and road and site vehicles.

Each drilling rig, vehicle and piece of equipment has its own unique identification number and is subject to a planned maintenance programme, to help eliminate breakdowns. With the unique personal identification number we can look up in seconds on our in-house maintenance data base and identify when the next service is due, including the last/next exhaustive safety check due/carried out.

Quality Assurance

Mr Robert Parks is Grampian Soil Surveys's Quality Assurance/Safety Manager. Bob is fully qualified to degree level and is employed full time to maintain and upgrade the Company's Quality/Safety manuals. Bob also oversees all UKAS Accreditation requirements including ISO 14001 (Environmental).
