Landfill Site ServicesGrampian Soil Surveys has considerable experience in landfill site engineering. Be this monitoring for local authorities or design and implementation for the British government overseas. We monitor 200 landfill gas boreholes weekly in addition to providing more complex water analysis.At Stoneyhill landfill site in the north east of Aberdeenshire we have recently provided all drilling services for hydrogeological modeling studies. This is inclusive of permeability and pump testing. Boreholes were drilled using the ODEX overburden drilling system followed by down the hole hammer drilling into the granite bedrock. On the current operational phase we have provided monitoring of interliner points to assess the performance of the geo-composite landfill liner. |
